Cleveland Police Launches Mobile Data

Beat Systems is working with Cleveland Police to deliver mobile working solutions across the entire force of 1,400 police officers. Project CUPID (Cleveland Universal Police Information Device), which is being delivered in partnership with Steria, will allow Cleveland Police to access and input information in the field, enhancing intelligence-led policing and enabling officers to spend more time on the beat.

The initiative is at the heart of Cleveland Police’s Putting People First strategy. “Both Cleveland Police Authority and the Force are dedicated to investing in and supporting our staff with the skills and equipment they need to deliver the professionalism that the public deserves”, commented Chief Constable Sean Price of Cleveland Police.

Recently Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, visited Cleveland Police and she was shown Beat Systems’ solution, which is going to be used by officers.

Cleveland Police joins the growing number of Beat Systems Police Force customers and takes advantage of the proven and functional solution.

"Cleveland Police was able to get a good level of feedback from our current clients to find out information from those who have used us. They spoke to both front line officers and senior police staff and from that were able to get a good understanding of what we are able to provide.

Our solution will ensure Cleveland Police remains at the forefront of modern policing and crime fighting."
