British Transport Police select Beat Systems for National Roll Out
Following the formal European Journal tender process, Beat Systems along with its partner Northgate Information Solutions, have been successfully awarded the contract to provide British Transport Police with a national mobile data solution.
Paul Robb, Assistant Chief Constable (Crime), has expressed:
“Mobile data has the potential to be the most significant advance since foot patrol officers were given radio communication.
British Transport Police are developing one of the most ambitious m – data strategies in UK policing in partnership with PITO and private sector partners including Beat Systems and Northgate.
Fundamental to our strategy is the impressive technology that Beat has developed. Over the last two years, and more latterly with Northgate as well, we have been working closely with them to develop the concept into a meaningful operational tool that officers on the ground will be eager to use. We believe that this technology will deliver real operational benefits in terms of efficiency, real – time data entry and most importantly increased patrol time in the community.”
